Virginia M Grove, 80, of Clearwater Township died Sat, Nov 22, 2003, at Birchwood Nursing Center in Traverse City.
She was born May 11, 1923, in Bellaire, the daughter of Guy Edward and Edna Mae (VanCamp) Rauch. She married F. Ward Grove, who preceded her in death in 1985, in Kalkaska on Mar 1, 1940.
A homemaker, she lived her entire married life in Kalkaska County. She was fond of playing cards, dancing and greatly enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was an infant son, George Frederick and an infant daughter, Linda Lou; brothers, Leon, Jack, Melvin, William, and Donald; sisters, Georgia Hallam and Joyce Richards, and a great granddaughter.
Surviving are her children, Delores (Charles) Flanagin and Leila (Kim) Prough of Rapid City, Vickie (Keith) Antaya and Carolyn (Gerald) Prentice of Alden, Margaret Reith of Grand Rapids and Barbara (Joe) Shippy of Bellaire; two brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Rauch of Williamsburg and Vernon Rauch of Kalkaska; a sister, Dina (Melvin) Meadows of Mancelona; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tue, Nov 25, 2003, at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Dr. Tom Hunter officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
