Memorial services for Victor Max Gillette, 69, of 407 Louise Ave, Dowagiac, who died Monday morning in Lee Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home. Rev. Arlo Vandien, Pastor of the Federated Church of Dowagiac, will officiate. The body will be cremated and interred in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dowagiac Public Library.
He was born on Nov 25, 1906, in Traverse City, and was a former Dowagiac municipal employee. On Sep 20, 1930 in Elkhart, he married Ruth Atwood, who survives. Also surviving are a son Robert of Belleair, MD; a granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Wolbert of Grandville and Mrs. Howard Deremo of Grand Haven; and a brother Arthur Gillette of Grandville.
