Simon J. Gondol, Sr., 67, a resident of Fife Lake for the past 18 years, died Monday, Oct 29, 1990 at his home. He moved from Flint after retiring from Case Construction Company in 1972. Mr. Gondol was a member of Laborer Local 1075 in Flint, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Gondol was born in Genessee County, on June 26, 1923 to Simon and Anna (Police) Gondol. On Dec 23, 1944, he was married in Flint to Betty Nation, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Simon Gondol and Roger Gondol, both of Fife Lake; his mother, Anna Gondol of Flint; one brother, Joseph Gondol of Farmington; one sister, Irene Kronz of Flushing; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov 1, 1990 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Fife Lake Cemetery.
