Sharon Leann Loyd, 52, of Battle Creek, died Saturday morning, Aug 16, 2008. She was born in Battle Creek on Oct 27, 1955, the daughter of Everett L and Shirley A (Pickett) Ehle and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1974.
Sharon married Robert A. “Bob” Loyd in Battle Creek on Jul 9, 1988; he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Shannon Englen of Battle Creek; her son, John (Rebecca) Loyd of Battle Creek and their 3 children, Taylor, Gabrielle and Johnathan; her mother, Shirley Brooks; her brothers and sisters, Joyce (Richard) Kunz, Everett (Linda) Ehle, Lori (Tim) Stableton and Michael Brooks; special family friends, David and Judy Goff; 2 Godsons, Brian and Zachary Goff; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Everett Ehle in 1969 and a sister, Patricia Stoudt in 1991.
At the request of the family, they will receive friends 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm today at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held 11 am Wed, Aug 20, 2008 at the funeral home with Gordon Pippin, Minister of Central Christian Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
