Sandra "Elaine" Griffiths, 65, of Newaygo, passed away Jul 4, 2009, in Ionia. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Atkinson) Hill.
Elaine married Garth L Griffiths on Sep 2, 1961, in Kalkaska. She enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Elaine was a member of the Rapid City Church of Christ.
Surviving Elaine is her husband, Garth of 47 years; her children, Lori (Scott) Sorgensrei of Ionia, Cynthia (Richard) Meines of Grand Rapids, Todd (Melissa) Griffiths of SC, and Randall Griffiths of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her siblings, Leroy (Harriet) Hill of Kalkaska, Alice Hill of Rapid City, Marie (Lee) Couturier of Sparta, and her sisters in law Pat Hill of Grand Rapids and Shirley Hill of Rapid City.
Preceding Elaine in death were her siblings, Joyce Patton, Gerald "Duke" Hill, and John Hill.
A memorial service will be held today at 1 pm at the Kalkaska Church of Christ, with Dan Johnson officiating.
