Ruth (Kuykendall) Boling went home to be with her Lord on Mar 31, 1999.
She was born on May 25, 1924, in Hendersonville, NC, to Charlie and Flora Kuykendall. On Apr 9, 1946, she married Carl Boling, who survives.
Ruth lived in Fife Lake and Kalkaska area since the early 70s. Ruth loved nature, fishing, reading, tending her home and garden, and visiting her family and friends. Though not outwardly religious, she held a deep, personal faith in her God. Those who loved or knew her will sadly miss Ruth. Her fight with cancer the last four months of her life has finally been won. There was no cure for her on earth, God cured her in heaven.
Also surviving are son Gary; daughter Carla (Bill) Carmichael; grandchildren Sarah and Jeremy Boling, and Stephen, Daniel (Laurie), Kathryn and Scott Carmichael; great granddaughters Olive and Sophia; four brothers and one sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, infant daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service is planned on her birthday at graveside on May 25, at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
In lieu of flowers, direct memorials to the American Cancer Society or Munson (4-West Oncology Unit) in Traverse City.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
