Carl Henry Boling, 85, of Kalkaska, died peacefully at home Mar 28, 2002.
He was born Jan 5, 1917, in Blount County, TN, to Lula Edna Wilson and William Shade Boling. On Apr 9, 1946, he married Ruth Kuykendall who preceded him in death in 1999.
He is survived by children Dale Goodman of Georgia; Gary Boling of Traverse City; and Carla Carmichael of Mancelona; also beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son and five brothers.
Carl lived in the Fife Lake-Kalkaska area since 1972. He loved fishing, gardening, and visiting with family and friends. He was a Navy veteran and a proud member of Ironworkers Local #25 since 1947.
The family wishes to thank his caregiver and friend Adrian Schroeder, Munson Hospice, Drs. Ziegler and Jim Milliken, Kalkaska Commission on Aging, local pastors and others whose care and concern meant so much to Carl during this difficult time.
Cremation with burial at Evergreen Cemetery are being handled by Wolfe Funeral Home. No memorial service is planned at this time.
