Roy Jay Gauld, age 77, of Fife Lake, born July 10, 1946, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 18, 2024 and entered the arms of his loving Savior.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Nancy; daughter, Laura (Gary) Klingelsmith, daughter, Tammie (Steve) Budrow, son, Lee (Sandra) Gauld, daughter, Amber (Mike) Fox, daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Bushong, son, Andrew (Tanja) Clark; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by: his sister, Aneita Mongar, sister, Jane Rogers, brother, Dale (Beckie) Gauld, and brother, Jerry Gauld.
Roy was born, raised, and lived in Fife Lake all of his life. He served in the military in the Army, Airborne Division. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, loved the outdoors, and liked spending time at the casino. He is known for his cowboy hat and boots and had horses for a big part of his life. He was a proud man with a warm heart. He loved the Lord and his church family at the Pine Grove Church of God in Traverse City. He went to Africa with his church to do God’s work. He will be missed greatly.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Glade and Berneita Gauld; his brother, Gale: granddaughter, Carly; and grandson, Colton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 200 N. Brownson Avenue, Kingsley, Michigan 49649, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be held at the American Legion Post #219 in Fife Lake immediately following.
