Former Kalkaska resident, Roy E. Nave, 65, died June 18, 1990, at his residence in Lansing. 

Mr. Nave was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran Commanders Club and American Legion. 

He was born in Belding on May 27, 1925, to Hugh and Bertha Fries Nave. He graduated from Kalkaska High School, class of 1946. He married Agnes St. Clair of Lansing on March 28, 1949 in Harbor Springs. 

Surviving are his wife, Agnes; two sons, Michael E. Nave of Lansing and Jeffrey I. Nave stationed in Norfolk, Virginia with the U.S. Navy; three daughters, Linda K. Bitker of Lansing, Mrs. Tom (Bernice) Cox of Elk Rapids, Mrs. David (Robin) Stevens of Holt; one brother, Charles Nave of Texas; and two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Irene) Sieting and Katherine Nave of Grayling; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roy E. Nave, Jr.; a brother, Hugh Nave, Jr.; a sister Charlene Rice. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 24, 1990 at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home, Lansing. Rev. Duane Ford officiated. Interment was at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos.
