Ronald F. Laing, 55, of Harrison died Thu, Sep 28, 1995 at Mercy Hospital in Grayling.
Mr. Laing was born May 14, 1940 in Oakland County to Frederick Laing and Pauline Carpenter. On Dec 31, 1959 he married Barbara Jane in Waterford, who died Oct 18, 1985. He then married Mary Joan Campbell on May 30, 1987, who survives.
He worked as a mechanical inspector for the State of Michigan. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force from 1957-61.
Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by three sons: Daniel and Mary Kay Laing of Ithaca, Ron and Karen Laing of Kalkaska and David and Suzanne Laing of Watkinsville, GA; three grandchildren, his mother Pauline Laing of Kalkaska; one sister, Barbara and Phil Robins of Millersburg; seven stepchildren; Keith and Kathy Campbell of Kalkaska, Mark and Yvette Campbell of St. Clair, Blaine and Camille Campbell of Anchorage, AK, Eric Campbell of Traverse City, Julianne and Brian Misiolek of Traverse City, Stephanie and Barry Havens of Interlochen and Anita and Edward Wiltse of Portage, IN, and 12 step grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin. Rev. Robert Marshall officiated. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society.
