Robert Leroy Richardson, 85, of Kalkaska, passed away Tue, Mar 3, 2009, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. He was born Aug 19, 1923, in Kalkaska, to the late Orville E and Mable (North) Richardson. 

Robert served his country proudly in the US Army from 1943 to 1946. He retired from the State of Michigan after 33 years of service with MDOT. 

Always very active, Robert was a lifetime member of the Masons, VFW Post 8684 and East Bay 264. He was also a member of the Ancient Scottish Right, the Northwest Shriners Club, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. 

Robert enjoyed hunting, golfing, camping, and going to the bakery on Saturdays. He loved traveling and spending time with his family. Robert will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him. 

Surviving Robert are his dear wife of 23 years, Helen; his loving children, Debra (Fred) Carian of Lansing, Douglas L Richmond of East Point, Leola (Lowell) Russell of Ashflat, AZ, Harvey (Beverly) Mockerman of Indianapolis, Marvin E (Wanda) Mockerman II of Clio, Kaylin (Dennis) Martin of New Lathrop, Annett (Tom) Frechette of Mt Morris, and Rebecca (Ron) Perryman of Davison, and 36 precious grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, ARdell Bernice (Geshko) Richardson; and his siblings, Frances Boyd, George Richardson, Raymond Richardson, and Vernon Richardson. 

Visitation for Robert will be held Thu, Mar 5, 2009, from 2 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm and again on Fri from 2 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. 

Services began with a Masonic Service at 2 pm on Sat. The funeral service immediately followed at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Karges of Ellisburg, PA officiating. 

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
