Robert L Spears, age 75, of Pickerington, died Sat, Dec 15, 2007j at Mt Carmel East Hospital. Born Apr 23, 1932 in Pickerington to the late William M and Helen M (Fenstermaker) Spears, he was a 1950 graduate of Pickerington High School. He attended Ohio State University and was a US Navy veteran. He was a retired supervisor form Anchor Hocking, and later was a custodian at the Pickerington Jr High School. He was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, South Gate Potter Lodge #782 F & AM and AASR.
Survived by wife, Patricia; children, Robbie Spears, Pickerington, Heidi (Michael) Mulcahy, Blacklick, Danny Nicodemus, Groveport, Debbie (Dan) Garret, Circleville; grandchildren, Jake Mulcahy, William and Justin Spears, Brian (Gena) Routt, Jenny Routt, Jeff Nicodemus, Brad (Martha) Nicodemus, Mallory Nicodemus; three great grandchildren; daughters in law, Betsy Nicodemus and Debbie West; sister in law, Jo (Rodger) Epilon. He was preceded in death by son, Roger Nicodemus. Friends may visit 5 to 8 pm. Tu at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road N, Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, with the Rev. James Riggs officiating. Interment will follow at Violet Cemetery. Friends who wish may contribute to the Violet Twp Fire Department in Bob’s memory.
