Randall L. “Randy” Glynn, age 62, of Reese, formerly of Vassar died Fri, May 13, 2016. The funeral service will take place at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar at 1pm, Tue, May 17, 2016. In accordance with Randy’s wishes, cremation is to follow. Randy’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Mon, from 2 to 8pm and on Tue from 11am until the time of service at 1pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Wellspring Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Randy was born May 7, 1954 in Saginaw, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Evelyn (Ackerman) Glynn. Randy graduated from Vassar High School, Class of 1972. He married Laurie McMann on Feb 10, 1979, in Vassar. He worked for Super Foods for 30 years, retiring in 2003. In his free time, Randy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, football and baseball. He also enjoyed picking berries for his mom and camping and boating in Caseville.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Laurie; four children: Michael (Dawn) Glynn, Valerie (Matthew) Zajac, Jeffrey Glynn, and Matthew Glynn; four grandchildren: Amber Glynn, Bryan Wright, Lucas Zajac, and Eric Glynn; his parents: Clarence and Evelyn Glynn; one sister, Lorri (Tim) Ellison; niece and nephew, Gregory and Melissa Ellison; numerous cousins, and many other family members and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Glen Ackerman, Wilma Martin-Ackerman Burza, Sheldon and Gladys Glynn.
