Phyllis E. (Elwood) Flynn, 59, Muncie, passed away peacefully Sat, Apr 3, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

The daughter of Odus M. and A. Irene (Murray) Ellwood, she was born Dec 31, 1950 in Hartford City. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1969. Phyllis married David A. Flynn on Nov 12, 1988 in Muncie.

She worked as a pharmacy technician at Marsh Pharmacy on Walnut St. for 18 years and loved her job. She enjoyed all that life had to offer up to an including singing and dancing to all genres of music (especially oldies), spending time with her pals from the Oasis, the “Girls” from Hartford City, Indianapolis Colts, evenings on the deck and spending time with her husband, family, kids, and grandkids. Phyllis was a dog lover and was an avid Keno player, wherever she could find a machine. She was a woman who knew how to laugh, more importantly, how to love.

Surviving are her husband, David A. Flynn, Muncie; four children, Todd Strahan (wife, Teresa), Aaron Russell (fiancée, Paula), Lindsay Haney (husband, Eric), and Amber Russell (companion, Dennis); sister, Nancy Edwards (husband, Don); two brothers, Michael Elwood (wife, Barbara), and her twin, Phillip Elwood (wife, Tina); six grandchildren, Shayna Cline, Quintin Beaty, Tyler Haney, Kyzick and Elijah Strahan, and Jacob Southard; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Perry.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Thu, Apr 8, in the Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City. Burial will be made at a later date in the Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home from 4 to 7pm Wed, Apr 7, and after 11pm Thur.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Little Red Door Cancer Fund or Animal Rescue fund, Muncie.
