Mrs. Patty L. Hawkins, 53, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Nov 11, 1993, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Hawkins has been a resident of Kalkaska since moving from Clarkston in 1975. She was a co-owner of the Kal-Ho Lounge. She was also a member of the Peoples Church, and sang in the church choir.
She was born on Feb 2, 1940, in Abilene, TX, to J.M. and Yolanda Bowles Briggs. On Mar 14, 1959, in Abilene, she married David Hawkins, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Don M. Hawkins of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Heather L. Hawkins of Kalkaska; one brother, James Briggs of San Antonio, TX; six sisters, Kathleen McGraw of Abilene, TX; Carol Corbin of Gaylord, Tallulah Steel of Grandbury, TX, Rene' Cruse of Bossier City, LA; Brenda Overton of Abilene, TX, and Glenda Graber of Petersburg, VA and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin Hawkins.
Funeral services were held Sun, Nov 14, 1993 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to the Music Committee of the Peoples Church.
