Norma Bee Lanning of Lake City died Tue, Oct 12, 1999 at Autumnwood of McBain Nursing Home. She was 87.
Mrs. Lanning was born Apr 28, 1912 in Petoskey to Ernest and Hattie Shrontz. She married Earl Lanning on December 30, 1932; he preceded her in death February 8, 1979.
Mrs. Lanning was a 42 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Roger Lanning of Lake City; two daughters, Pat (Jerry) Tisch of Lake City and Helen Wagner of Lake City; one brother Morris (Laura) Shrontz of Lake City; 13 grandchildren, Marilyn (Brian) Boyce of Brooklyn, Carolyn Tisch of Jackson, Veryl (Connie) Tisch of Grass Lake, Donna (Jim) Gaines of Detroit, Karrie (Tim) Loney of Lake City, Janet (Jerry) Schneider of Buckley and Kenny (Cindy) Wagner of Lake City; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Lynn; her parents, Ernei and Hattie Shrontz; and two sisters, Mavis Edwards and Irma Hickey.
Services will be 11am Thu, October 14 at Young Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Lake City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 9pm today at Young Funeral Home.
