Nora V. Gavin, 90, of Rapid City passed away on Sep 4, 2004, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
She was born on Dec 22, 1913, in Highland Park, the daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Cady) Peters.
Nora married Harry Gavin in 1960 in Detroit. they moved to Rapid City in 1963. Nora retired from Burroughs Corporation in Plymouth. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Women's Guild.
Surviving Nora is her son, Dale E (Judy) Barr of Olivet; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her sisters, Florence Diaz of Warren and Virginia Arnold of Farmington Hills, and dear companion, Yvonne Ray of Bellaire.
Preceding Nora in death was her husband, Harry, in 1997, and her siblings, Carl Wright, Rilla Durrant, and Wannetta Reynolds.
The funeral service was held on Sep 8, 2004, at Wolfe Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
