Nettie Louise Rechtin, 90, of Midland, died Jul 2, 2010 due to complications from an auto accident. She was born Apr 7, 1920 in Ludington, daughter of the late Earl and Louise (Zachow) Ayers. On Mar 25, 1944 she married the late Harry J. Rechtin in Ludington. Harry died Jul 16, 1976. Prior to being married, Louise was secretary to the president of the Chesapeake and Ohio Ferry Line, and then became a full time homemaker. She enjoyed playing bridge, was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and volunteered at St. John’s Lutheran School as a reading tutor. She will be missed by her sons, Thomas Earl (Shelida) Rechtin of Laport, TX, Gary Robert Rechtin of Greensboro, NC, Gregory Lee (Karen) Rechtin of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Krissy Rechtin of Deer Park TX, Eric, Taylor Rechtin, Carter and Conner Rechtin, all of Greensboro, NC; sister, Helen Bortel of Montigue; and borther, Robert Ayers of Ludington. In addition to her husband, Louise was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Hull and borther, Earl Ayers, both of Ludington.
