Milo F. Tanner, 72, of Kalkaska, died Saturday, Sept 30, 1989, at his residence.
Mr. Tanner was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, and was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. He farmed for many years, and retired from the Kalkaska County Road Commission. He enjoyed carpentry and gardening.
Mr. Tanner was born in Kalkaska on Aug. 16, 1917, to John J. and Bertha McCool Tanner. On Oct 25, 1939, in Grayling, he was married to Arlene Golden. She preceded him in death on May 1, 1989.
Surviving are one sons, Michael Tanner of Kalkaska; one daughter, Elorise Holstad of Wyoming, MI; two brothers, Thaddeus Tanner and Gene Tanner both of Kalkaska; three sisters, Marvel Lantzer, Nellie Hamilton, and Josephine Aldridge all of Kalkaska; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1989, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. William Zelinko officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
