Mildred Joy McMann, 64, formerly of Brown City and Zephyer Hills, FL, died Sun, August 30, 1998 at her daughter’s house in Akron.
She was born in Brown City on September 21, 1933 to Ernest and Laura (Clark) Stimson. She attended Brown City High School. She married Eldon McMann on Mar 10, 1951 in Kingston.
She was retired after working 17 years as a supervisor in the computer department for the State of Florida. She had previously worked at Caro Center and also Traverse City State Hospital.
She is survived by five children, Joy Oliver, Akron, William (Cheryl) McMann of Saginaw, Laurie (Randy) Glynn of Reese, Robert McMann of FL, and Robyn (Rodney) Matthews of FL; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Fournier and Arlene McLaughlin; a sister in law, Vada Stimson; and a friend, Norman Short.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Stimson.
