Mike Joe Niznak, 88, died on Nov 2, 2014, in Lansing, MI. He was born in Ashley, MI to Paul and Anna (Hlivjak) Niznik on Nov 14, 1925. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during WWII. He loved gardening, golf, bowling, working on cars, camping, hunting, and the outdoors.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Sewell) Niznak, daughter, Ruth Ann Niznak, and granddaughter, Kari Niznak. He is survived by his children, Paul (Val) Niznak, Linda (Curt) Thayer, Alan (Cheryl) Niznak, Karen (Rod) Vroman, Brian (Sue Harrington) Niznak, Connie (Pat) Wieferich; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Tarasevic and his beloved dog Bailey.
A Funeral Litergy will take place at 10:30 am on Thu, Nov 6, 2014 at St. Gerard Parish, 4437 W. Willow Hwy, Lansing with a viewing one hour prior to service. Visitation will be from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wed with a Vigil at 7pm at Tiffany Funeral Home.
