Linda Marie Thayer, age 70, of Lansing, MI was born Jan 5, 1953 to Mike and Mary Niznak and passed away mar 14, 2023 where she has now entered the Gates of Heaven after a long courageous battle from her health struggles.
Linda graduated from Waverly High School and Cosmetology School. She worked at Mervyns for many years, she loved her job there and all her coworkers. Linda enjoyed pampering herself and made sure to always have her hair and nails done. She liked to watch movies, reading, and faith was very important to her. She adored all her friends and family dearly and always kept them close to her heart. Linda will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.
Linda was the beloved wife of Curtis Thayer for 47 years; loving mother of Jermey Thayer and Jamilyn Hoffman; cherished grandmother of Ethan Thayer, Chloe Hoffman, Gage Hoffman and Payton; dear sister of Alan (Cheryl) Niznak, Karen (Rod) Vroman, Brian (Sue) Niznak, Connie (Pat) Wieferich and the late Paul (Valerie) Niznak; fond aunt to many; and special friend of Mary (Scott) Stevens.
A visitation for Linda will be held Wed, Mar 22 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm with a Scripture Service starting at 7pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Washington St, DeWitt, MI 48820. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thu, Mar 23, at 10:30 am with a visitation one hour prior at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Right of Committal to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
