Max E. Dunlap, 57, of Liberty, Kentucky, died Thursday, Dec 28, 1989, at the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, KY.
Mr. Dunlap was a native of Kalkaska County. He was a graduate of William Jennings Bryan University and remained active throughout his life in Christian service, Bible study and teaching. He was always sensitive to the needs of the homeless.
He was born in Kalkaska County on Jan. 20, 1932, to Ira and Esther Grice Dunlap. On June 8, 1955 he was united in marriage to Jean McKee who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Silas of Santa Barbara, CA, Luke of Knoxville, TN, Amos of Bryson City, NC, Nathan of Liberty, KY; three daughters, Hannah (Callinan), Phebe and Lois all of Liberty, KY; two brothers, Gordon of Rapid City and Earl of Flagstaff, AZ, and two grandchildren.
His father and one son, Caleb, preceded him in death.
Home committal services were held Friday, Dec 29, 1989. Memorial services were held at New Life Church in Columbia, KY, Sunday, Dec 31, 1989.
