Esther Dunlap, 91, of Deland, FL, formerly of Kalkaska, died Sat, jan 18, 1997 at Mariner Nursing Center of Deland.
Mrs. Dunlap was a resident of Kalkaska County from 1929 until 1990 when she moved to Deland. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, the WCTC and the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed reading.
She was born on May 31, 1905, in Clinton County, IN, to Fairfax and Bertha Harshman Grice. On Nov 23, 1929, in Frankfort, IN, she married Ira Dunlap, who preceded her in death on Apr 21, 1962.
Surviving are two sons, Earl of Flagstaff, AZ and Gordon of Deland, FL; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Max; grandson, Caleb; brothers, Gilbert, Henry and Everett; and sister Ruth Mier.
Funeral services were held Jan 23, 1997 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Bert Grooten officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County in the spring.
