Mary Joy (Mathews) Raymond, Portage, MI, passed away on Fri, Dec 26, 2014 at the age of 56. Mary was born in Grayling, MI on Apr 11, 1958, the daughter of the late Roy and Joye (Wells) Mathews. She attended spring Arbor College, where she received two Bachelor’s Degrees and worked for Target as a Customer Service Manager. She attended Valley Family Church. She was a very giving person and especially enjoyed donating her time with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She is survived by her children, Neal (Mandy) Raymond of Omaha, NE, JoAnna (Maurice) Hudson of Portage and Christina Raymond of Geneva, OH; six grandchildren, Shane, Tamya and Marques, Andrew, Aurora, and Gabriel; one brother, Michael (Pamela) Mathews; and two nieces, LeAnna (Andrew) Sheipe and Marcy Mathews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Mathews. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sat, Jan 3, 2015 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, Mi 49002. Rev. James Dyke will officiate. Private interment will take place later in Grayling, MI.
