Mary Jean Kelley, 59, of Fie Lake, passed away Sat, Jan 8, 2022, at Munson Medical Center. Mary was born Jul 3, 1963, in Grand Rapids the daughter of Thomas and Beatrice (Peters) Kelley.
Mary loved the outdoors, hiking and even completed an Ironman competition. Her family remembers her family dinners, her 5-star chili. Mary would cook up a feast for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday dinners. She valued education, held a deep love for poetry and had an open door policy at her house for all. She made everyone feel loved and saw the best in everyone. Mary treasured her family and deeply loved her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, Diane Sullivan, Paula (Jim) Runstrom, Thomas Sullivan, James Sullivan; her siblings, Larry Fox, Patricia Fox, Judy Norberg, Richard (Marilyn) Fox, Eugene (Norma) Fox, Diane (Patrick) McDonald, Kay (Jim Sullivan) Stocker, Karen (Richard) Schmidt, Linda Forwerck, John Kelley, April Kelley; and her grandchildren, Mabel, Gabe, Indigo, James Jr, Jonathan, Mariah, Scarlett, Sophia, and Elijah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David Fox Jr and William Fox.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Fri, Jan 14, at the Fife Lake United Methodist Church, 206 Boyd St, Fife Lake, MI. The family requests, out of respect to Mary and family, that masks be worn for the service. A luncheon at the Dale H. Wheeler American Legion Post 210, 10283 M 186, Fife Lake, MI, will follow the service. Burial in Clark Cemetery of Fife Lake will be held at a later date.
