Lynk, Mary Elizabeth – of Davison, age 97, passed away February 17, 2013 at The Pines of Lapeer. A funeral mass will be celebrated 12Noon Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Ref. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Davison, MI. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. On Wednesday, there will be visitation at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church for the Senior Priest Residence or Outreach East of Davison.
Mary was born in Elba Township on January 10, 1916, daughter of the late George and Mary (Stock) Halpin. Mary Halpin married DeVere Lynk on November 30, 1936 in Lapeer. DeVere preceded her in death on November 25, 2001. Mary was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. She retired as a LP Nurse at Oakdale Center in Lapeer.
Mary is survived by nieces and nephews, John L. (Dorothy) Schlaud, Barbara (Bob) Schlaud-Brisky, Marilyn (Don) Hamilton-Goyette, Larry C. (Maria) Schlaud, Mary Kaye (Don Wood) Buike, Sandra Congdon and Donald Goodrich; neighbors, Al (Hilda) Schultz; many other family members and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Schlaud and Nora Buike-Ebeling. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of the Memory Care at The Pines of Lapeer.
