Martha Ella Peck, 82, lifelong resident of Kalkaska, passed away on Sat, Jun 24, 2006, as a result of an auto accident.
She was the beloved wife of Cecil E Peck for 64 years; the loved mother of Sharon (Keith D) Ingersoll of Fife Lake, Gloria (Ken) Borgen, and Jerry (Sarah) Peck all of Kalkaska; the loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; and the beloved sister of Bernard (Mary) Hinds of Mancelona.
Martha was born Feb 21, 1924 in Kalkaska, the daughter of the late William and Sadie (Newlen) Hinds. She married Cecil E Peck on Oct 1, 1942.
Martha enjoyed listening to country music and collecting everything from antiques to old bottles. She loved being with her family and will be greatly missed.
Preceding Martha in death were her parents; her son, Bernard Peck; her grandchildren, Troy, Jerry Lee, and Jennifer; and her siblings, George Hinds, William Hinds, Ben Hinds, Bernice Stinson, Betty Huffman, and Mary Root.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Wed, Jun 28, from 1 to 8 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Thu at 11 am at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kim Hough and the Rev Seth Wetherald from Garfield Country Church officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
