Bernice W. Stinson, 82, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Jul 18, 2001, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Bernice was born in Kalkaska Dec 31, 1918, daughter of the late William and Sadie Newlin Hinds. In 1960, she married William Stinson, who preceded her in death on Jun 22, 1995.
She spent her early years in Kalkaska, and then lived in Detroit and Chicago before returning to Kalkaska in 1978. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are brother Bernard (Mary) Hinds and sister, Martha (Cecil) Peck, both of Kalkaska, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Jul 21 at Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson, pastor of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
