Surrounded by her family, Marilyn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the age of 79. Marilyn was born on June 7, 1939 in Bunker Hill Township, Michigan to the late Donald Randall and Irene (Craft) Tropp. After graduating from Mason High School, Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Larry Foster, and secured a job at the State of Michigan where she was a dedicated employee for 35 years until she retired.
Marilyn was a caring generous, faithful woman, who loved her family dearly, including her beloved dog Duke. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music and traveling with her husband, Larry. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be dearly missed.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Larry Foster; stepfather, Starr Tropp; sister, Verna Carpenter; brothers, Roger (Janet) Langham, Carl (Martha) Langham; stepbrothers, Jim (Rosa) Tropp, Tom (Beth) Lumbert, Chuck (Janice) Lumbert, JR (Cathy) Lumbert; and many special nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 621 S. Jefferson St., Mason, MI 48854. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. A remembrance meal will follow at Mason First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and prior to the service on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
