Lyle M Gibbons, of Poughkeepsie, NY, died Apr 16 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was 57.
Mr. Gibbons was a former Lapeer resident, born Aug 22, 1924. He worked for IBM in New York.
He served with the Marines in the South Pacific during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Gibbons of Poughkeepsie; 2 sons, Jim and Michael; daughtes, Jayne Trojan of Poughkeepsie and Margaret Henderson of FL; 2 grandchildren; brother, Robert Gibbons of Columbiaville; sisters, Doris Brown and Marjorie Scramlin of Lapeer; and 7 nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday at the Holy Trinity Church with burial in St Peters Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
Arrangements were made by the Auchmoody Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie.
