Lunetta Ilene-Mahaffy (Cooper) Miller, 93, of Marlette, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky, MI.
She was born September 21, 1919 in Marlette, Michigan the daughter of the late J. Alexander and Ellen (Nellit) (Bruce) Mahaffy. Lunnetta was a 1936 graduate of Marlette High School and attended Eastern Michigan University. She was a lifelong area resident and farmer. She had attended the Hope Lutheran Church and the Marlette Second Presbyterian Church. She is survived by Tamara K. Cooper-Howard (granddaughter) of Massachusetts, Robin M. Bergman (granddaughter) of Lowell, Shirley Cooper (daughter-in-law) of Marlette, Great grandchildren – Samuel Howard and Jillianne Howard of Massachusetts, Janice Erbe (cousin) of Lapeer. She was preceded in death by her husbnads, James Cooper, Carl Miller, sons Richard and Ronald Cooper, and a grandson, Anthony.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette. Rev. John R. Allan will be officiating. Burial will be in the Marlette Cemetery in Marlette.
