Kevin Dale Kimball, 59, of Fife Lake passed away Feb 24, 2022 peacefully at his home.
Kevin was born on Dec 11, 1962 in Grand Rapids to the late Robert Dale and Lillian Mae Kimball. He graduated from Forest Area High School and went to Northwestern Michigan Community College. He finished off a Spartan Store Retail Marketing Trade Program certification in 1983.
Kevin grew up working at his family’s grocery store and meat market, Kimball’s Supermarket. As a young teen, he spent a lot of time caring for his niece with whom he shared a special bond. Kevin was very talented musically and could play many instruments. He was best known for performing for many wedding receptions in “The Fleis Band”. Kevin dedicated much of his life to the family business. He enjoyed teasing and playing basketball with is great nephews and introduced them to his love of watches. In his spare time, he opened a studio and taught Shiho Karano Kenpo to many students over the years. After the closing of the family store, Kevin reinvented himself and spent a decade as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. In 2014 Kevin graduated from Baker College Truck Driving Institute with CDL Class A certification with a 4.0 and used these skills working for UPS as a truck driver. Kevin loved being active. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, and biking. He had a deep appreciation for nature.
Kevin will be lovingly remembered by his sister Dianna Voice of Elk Rapids; two beautiful nieces Beth Voice Olosky of Williamsburg and Joann (Bryon) Miracle of Elk Rapids; great nephews Elijah, Topher, and Gunnar; and great nieces Riley and Rebecca.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents.
Visitation will take place on Fri, Mar 11, 2022 at 11 am also at the funeral home with a final visitation one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
