Kenneth Orville Davis, age 65, of Fife Lake passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born Sept 1, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Orville “Dave” Gayle and Agnes Mae (Martin) Davis. Ken graduated from Taylor Center High School in 1967. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years until his retirement in 1997. On February 14, 1996 Ken married Judy (Adams) Davis in Ohio. After retirement Ken moved to the Traverse City area. He enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman. Ken is survived by his wife, Judy, 3 children: Tina (Calvin) Molands of Union City, TN, Tammy (Jimmy) Crooks of Inkster, MI, and Kenneth Davis Jr of Union City, TN, 2 step daughters: Tammy Cecil of Fife Lake and Tracy (Scott) Gustafson of Bismark, ND; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 siblings. Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by 3 siblings. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 5-8pm at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake. Memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
