Kay J. Gauld, 68, a resident of Muskegon for the past 55 years, died on Thursday.
She was born on February 28, 1932, in Saginaw. On December 10, 1956, she married Lyman H. Gauld in Muskegon, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1978.
Mrs. Gauld was a custodian for 15 years with the Mona Shores School District in Muskegon, retiring in 1995. She loved her family. Her dog, Muffy, was her best friend for 15 years.
Mrs. Gauld is survived by her four children, Vince (Chari) Carnes of Muskegon, Daniel (Amy) Carnes of Muskegon, Eljean "Jean" (Larry) Belmonte of Battle Creek and Jessie (Glenn) Niesen of Muskegon; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place today, Jan. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clarke Cemetery in Fife Lake.
