Karen J. Carrigan, 42, of Mancelona, died on April 1, 2009 at her home. Karen was born on Nov., 9, 1966 the daughter of Floyd and Shirley (DuHoski) Sewell.
She enjoyed camping, horseback riding, animals and was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and always wanted to help others.
She is survived by her two daughters, Paige and Desirae Carrigan of Mancelona; and her mother, Shirley Sewell of Gaylord; siblings, Eugene (Joyce) Sewell of Ellsworth, Denise Pattison of Gaylord, Joseph Sewell of Charlevoix; half-sisters, Bettygayle (Carl) Lemorie of Cheboygan, Penny (Wayne) Glazier of Vanderbilt, Elaine Laforest of Gaylord and Cathy Sewell of Illinois; ex-husband and special friend Raymond Carrigan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Sewell.
