Joyce Louise (Ingleright) McCool

Joyce Louise McCool passed away quietly in her home on Apr 22, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. 

Joyce was born on Jul 1, 1930, to Paul and Faye Ingleright. On Jun 15, 1950, she was married to Max E. McCool who survives. Joyce and Max lived the rest of their lives together on the family farm in Kalkaska, MI. Joyce loved the farm and enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, and family gatherings. 

She was very active in her community and, together with her husband, opened her home to many foster children, missionaries, and evangelists. She touched many lives during her tie on earth. Together, Joyce and Max were very active members of the Spencer Church of Christ where they attended regularly all  of their married life, taking part in bible studies, hosting youth groups and much more. Both Joyce and Max greatly loved working with the Wilderness Christian Camp situated just west of their farm on 40 acres which they donated to the camp and to which they devoted a great deal of their time and effort. 

Joyce especially loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. 

She is survived by her husband Max of 59 years, a brother, Larry (Nancy) Ingleright, sons, Paul (Debbie) of South Africa, Mark (Robin) of Mancelona, Steve (Peggy) of FL and a daughter Nancy (Scott) Luca of Kalkaska. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and a son, Max Douglas. 

Memorial services will be held at the Spencer Church of Christ on Thu, Apr 29 at 2 pm with a visitation time from 1 to 2 pm preceding.
