Mrs. Geraldine F. Montgomery, 68, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Oct 5, 1996, at her residence. 

Mrs. Montgomery moved to Kalkaska County in 1949, from Missaukee County. She worked with her husband on their dairy farm for many years until moving to Kalkaska in 1973. She was later employed as a teacher's aid in the Kalkaska Public Schools prior to her retirement in 1994. 

She was an active member of the East Boardman United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers, a past president of the Kalkaska Historical Society, Past Director of the Soil Conservation District, and a member of the Academea Club. 

Mrs. Montgomery was born in Benton Harbor on Aug 2, 1928, to Paul and Faye Smith Ingelright. On Dec 20, 1949, she married Gary Montgomery who preceded her in death on Aug 28, 1973. 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Patty (Michael) Cox of Kalkaska, Mrs. Jane (Edward) Bole of Stockport, OH, and Ellen Montgomery of South Boardman; two brothers, P. Tom (June) Ingleright of Saginaw and Larry (Nancy) Ingleright of Lake City; one sister, Mrs. Joyce (Max) McCool of Kalkaska; five grandchildren, James (Renee) Bole of Fife Lake, Abbigail (David) Sebring of Kalkaska, Jennifer Bole of Stockport, OH, John (Kristen) Cox of Lansing, and Zachary Cox of Kalkaska; three great grandchildren, Shelby, Trevor, and Cody Bole; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

One brother, Russell Ingleright, preceded her in death. 

Funeral services were held Thursday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor Howard Seaver officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the East Boardman United Methodist Church, the Kalkaska Historical Society, of the Kalkaska County Public Library.
