Mrs. Jane Butler, 82, of Kalkaska, passed away at the Kalkaska Health Center on Jan 21, 1964, following a three year illness.

She was born Jane Anne Hall, daughter of Thomas and Margaret Hall, in Durham County, England on Feb 27, 1881. At the age of 6 months, she came to America with her parents, living for some time at Pennsylvania and Jackson, MI, before moving to South Boardman. On Apr 22, 1902 she was united in marriage to William J Butler in South Boardman. They operated a farm there until Mr. Butler passed away in 1947. In 1952, she moved to Kalkaska where she lived until her death.

Survivors are one son, Norman, of South Boardman; two brothers, Charles and Dean Hall, both of South Boardman; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Patterson of South Boardman and Mrs. Ada Johnson of Cadillac; six grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Anna Stebbins of Kalkaska; one son, Ward of Fife Lake; three brothers, George, William, and Robert Hall, all of South Boardman; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Vincent of Hershey.

Funeral services will be held today, Jan 23, 1964 at 2pm at the Schwartz Funeral Home. Burial will be made in the family lot in South Boardman.
