Isaac Blair, 74, a lifelong resident of Wells County, died at 9:30pm Thu at his home at 228 ½ West Market St. He had been ill only a few hours.
He was born in Nottingham Township on August 17, a son of Robert M. and Catherine Gehrett Blair. His marriage at Poneto on December 23, 1894 was to Jennie Runyon, who survives.
Surviving in addition to the widow are four sons, Clinton of Eaton, Clenda of Bluffton, and Clarence and Robert M. both of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Mowery of Bluffton and Mrs. Arthur Schreiner of Fort Wayne; a brother, Samuel, of Nottingham Township; six sisters, Mrs. Hiram Shannon and Mrs. William Schwartz both of Bluffton, Mrs. Alex Lee and Mrs. Ed King both of Poneto, Mrs. William Uptegraft of Petroleum, and Mrs. Simon Holloway of Nottingham Township; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Two sisters are deceased.
The body was removed to the Thoma Funeral Home, where it will remain for funeral services at 2:30pm Sat. Burial will be in the Stahl Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Paulen will conduct the services.
