Double funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Fri at the Thoma-Rich Funeral Home in Bluffton for Mr. and Mrs. Clenda Blair of Bluffton. Mr. Blair and his wife, Bertelene, died as the result of a two-vehicle mishap at 6:24pm Tue.

Mr. Blair, 76, was a retired employee of Dunbar Furniture in Berne.

Rev. Charles Darwin will officiate at the services, with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Friends may call at the Thoma Rich Funeral Home after 1pm today.

Mrs. Blair, 71, was killed instantly, and Mr. Blair died early Wed morning in Clinic Hospital.

State police said Blair had just driven onto Indiana 116 from Wells County Rd 300N when his vehicle and a car driven by David Shaffer, 16, of route 4, Bluffton, collided as Shaffer was passing another car on the 2 lane road near Murray, north of Bluffton. The accident is still under investigation.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Spain of Bluffton, and William Blair of Scottsdale, AZ; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Blair is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Mowery of Bluffton, and Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Shriner of Fort Wayne, and two brothers, Robert of Columbia City and Clarence of FL. Mrs. Blair is survived by one brother, Ira Nicholson Jr of Bluffton.
