Irene Helen Hutchinson, 83, of Rapid City passed away on Feb 25, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center's Long Term Care Unit.
Born on Jun 16, 1922, in Leslie, Irene was the daughter of the late Ward and Bessie (Harkness) Wilbur.
Irene graduated from Leslie High School in 1940. She married Robert Hutchinson on Nov 23, 1945, in Angola, IN. During WWII she worked in aircraft production in Jackson.
Irene retired from RL Polk Publishing Co after 19 years of service. Robert and Irene were residents of Rapid City since 1955, moving from Leslie. She enjoyed camping, hiking, knitting, reading, dogs, cats, and horses. Irene was a great cook.
Surviving Irene are her daughters, Sharon A Hutchinson of Traverse City, Shirley D Hutchinson of Kalkaska and Beth Hutchinson of Rapid City; and sisters, Bethel Dunlap of Leslie and Bonnie Fenn of Buchanann.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on Mar 3, 1990.
Funeral services will be held on Tue, Mar 2, at 1 pm at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Michael J Snyder of the Jehovah's Witnesses will be officiating, with burial to be at Clearwater Township Cemetery in the Spring.
