Henry E. Koontz, 84, died at the home of his son, near Bluffton, at noon Wednesday.
He was born Jul 19, 1900, in Orange Township, Hancock County, the son of Samuel and Lucinda Nonnamaker, Koontz. On Jun 26, 1927, he married Helen C. Elzay, who died Jun 10, 1980.
Mr. Koontz was a retired farmer. He was a 60 year member of the former Bethesda United Brethren Church and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church near Bluffton.
Survivors include four sons, Richard D. Koontz of Columbus, Russell G. Koontz of Bluffton, Raymond A. Koontz of Lima, and Robert S. Koontz of Findlay; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Paul Diller and Son Funeral Home, Rev. Donald E. Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday and until time of services Saturday.
