Harry R. Hall, Sr., 74, of Kalkaska, a retired farmer, died Tuesday morning, April 24, 1990, at Munson Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Kalkaska County. Mr. Hall served for 16 years on the County Board of Commissioners. He was a member of the Kalkaska Republican Party, a former member of the Kalkaska Board of Education, a member of the Parks and Recreation Board, the Kalkaska County Fair Board, Farm Bureau, Kalkaska Soil Conservation District, Michigan Artificial Breeders Association and Michigan Milk Producers Association.
He was born in South Boardman on Nov 23, 1915, to Robert E. and Eva Shaffer Hall. On April 22, 1935, in Kalkaska, he was married to Donna Smith who preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1984.
Surviving are three sons, Harry R. Hall Jr of Kalksaka and Elwin R. Hall and C. Gordon Hall both of South Boardman; two daughters, Ruth Raudman and Barbara Pearson both of Kalkaska; two brothers, Lawton Hall of South Boardman and Burton Hall of Lansing; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, John Hall; three brothers, Gordon, Fredric, and Theris Lee Hall; one grandson, Corey Feeley; and one granddaughter, Bridget Hall.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 27, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
