Harriet I Allen, 84, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Mar 18, 2001, at her home.
She was born in Kalkaska County on Aug 24, 1916, to Seymour and Nellie (Lewis) Soper. She married Kenneth Allen Nov 20, 1948, in South Boardman. he died on Mar 3, 1996.
Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska county and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and wildlife.
Surviving are son Terry (Janet) Sieting of Kalkaska; daughters, Willodean Golden of Kalkaska and Judy Hoek of Grand Rapids; brother, Donald Soper of Kalkaska; sisters, Nellie Hall of Kalkaska and Elva Lyons of California; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sons Larry and Dennis Sieting and Val Gene Allen; daughter, Winona Allen; grandson, Larry Golden; and great grandson, Kyle Fisher.
Funeral services were held March 21 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev Paul Karges officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
