Gary Hatfield, 78, of South Boardman, passed away on Jul 16, 2010, with his family by his side at the Eden Center of Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Gary was born Sep 20, 1931 in Grayling, MI to the late Harold and Gertrude (Mathias) Hatfield.
Gary married Jackie Blackmer on Aug 25, 1951 in Grayling. Jackie preceded him in death on May 14, 2004. Gary was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his wood shop, and gardening.
His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving Gary are his children, Diane (Gary) Kniss and Robert (Carlen) Hatfield; his grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Kniss, Lisa (Chris) Clark, and Bob Hatfield; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Mackenzie, and Miley Kniss and Lillie Clark. He is also survived by his brothers, Warren and Carl Hatfield.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Sat, Jul 31, 2010 at 11 am at the East Boardman United Methodist Church, Rev Howard Seaver officiating.
