Franklin V. Triplett, 72, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, died May 25, 1998, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Triplett had been employed at Quality Aluminum in Muskegon, Bear Archery, and Summa Harrison prior to his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.
Franklin was born in Kalkaska County Feb 2, 1926, son of the late Albert and Nellie Wildfong Triplett. He married Frances Dick in Kalkaska on Mar 19, 1946.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; sons Allen (Dawn) Triplett and Victor Triplett, both of Kalkaska; daughters Janice (Gale) Cobb and Patricia (John) Magley, both of Kalkaska, and Mary (James) Bertrand of Rapid City; sister Cora Hittle of Redford Township; seven grandchildren; a great grandson; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and an aunt, Rebecca Peterson of Mancelona.
He was preceded in death by brothers Lee, John, and Marion Triplett and sisters Lillian Morris, Hattie Rolison, and Nancy Hittle.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges will officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
