Frank Klassen, 69, of 2700 Hilts Rd, Gladwin, Died suddenly Tue, Aug 30 at his home.
Born in Hepburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, May 11, 1919, he moved to Gladwin County in 1923. Mr. Klassen farmed and was a member of the Oak Grove Log Church.
Mr. Klassen and the former Ella Mae Foote were married Jun 28, 1941, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 7 sons, Frank of Australia, Fred, Gary, and Paul of Gladwin, Aaron of Hamilton, PA, Toby of Baraga, and Vern of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Avis) Blowers of Little Hope, PA; one brother, Henry of Gladwin; one sister, Anna Applegate of Marysville, WA; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, John, David, Pete, and Jake, and a sister, Helen Golder.
Services were held Fri at 11 am from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Melvin Stauffer officiated and burial was in the Butman Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Log Church of the Gideons.
