Mrs. Florence Gonyer, 91, of Battle Creek, formerly of Fife Lake, died Sat, Mar 1, 1997, at Community Hospital in Battle Creek.
Mrs. Gonyer was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Fife Lake. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Mrs. Gonyer was born in Gladstone on Dec 9, 1905, daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Gagnon) Noel. On Aug 22, 1921, in Fife Lake, she was united in marriage with Fred Gonyer, who preceded her in death on Dec 29, 1968.
Surviving are three sons, Louis and Arthur Gonyer of Fife Lake and Fred Gonyer of Battle Creek; daughter Pearl Skowronski of Battle Creek; 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sons Walter and Robert; two sisters; two brothers; one granddaughter; and one great granddaughter, preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 4 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Fife Lake wit Fr. Jim Holtz as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in the spring.
A scripture service was held at Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Arrangements were also by Wolfe Funeral Home.
