Everton H. Hagni, 82, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, died Monday evening, Jan 29, 1990, at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Hagni was a retired farmer, and a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening.
He was born in Kalkaska County on May 21, 1907, to Leonard and Jessie Hamilton Hagni. On Nov. 1, 1939, in Kalkaska, he was married to Frances Prentice who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Duane and Everton both of Kalkaska, and Richard of Ionia; five daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Goldie) Pratt of North Branch, Violet Adams of Traverse City, Mrs. Tephen (Evelyn) Handy of Grand Rapids, Mrs. James (Kathern) Hagler of Kalkaska, and Mrs. Roger (Janet) Roberts of Ponchatoula, LA; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and George Hagni; and three sisters, Isabel Klein, Margaret H. Sieting, and Clara Brown.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 1, 1990, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, officiated. Burial will be in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
